Ambiente Italia
4/1/2010
Ambiente Italia, the international fair for tableware, home furnishings, home accessories and giftware organized by Messe Frankfurt Italia, will make its debut from 6 to 8 June at the new exhibition center in Rome. Why Rome? Because Rome is the strategic heart, particularly for the market of Central and Southern Italy but also for the Mediterranean area in general, where a recent summit laid the groundwork for an expanded free trade area within the European Union. This agreement will make it possible to develop and promote internal trade in an area with 400 million consumers: decisive reasons for significant economic growth. Three product groups are represented: Dining for tableware, Giving that concentrates on giftware ideas and Living for
everything relating to interior design, ranging from furnishing, to accessories and decorations.
“Rather than a fair, this event can be used to get new ideas,” remarks Donald Wich, CEO of Messe Frankfurt
Italia “A new platform of the art of dining, living and giving, with high level selected exhibitors and trend-setting events, developed especially for dealers and the end consumer.
Indeed, the thing that makes this fair unique is the creation of an innovative project aimed at keeping the retail world informed on its greatest possible future, a real ‘Sell-Out System’”. Ambiente Italia intends to be a centre of ideas for new showrooms, to expand product lines, for new display ideas, and especially to offer ideas and initiatives that invite consumers to buy.
What’s more, information meets relaxation in the ‘Visual Screen’ area where visitors can stop and take a break and watch continuous images and videos of exhibitors and events in progress shown on the giant screen. Tableware – in porcelain, crystal, glass, ceramic, silver, steel, metal and synthetic materials –, kitchenware and homewares, cutlery, small appliances, accessories and kitchen utensils, home cleaning supplies, design objects for the table, silverware, plus gift ideas, leather fashions and accessories, candles, room fragrances, fashion accessories, home décor, furnishings, decorations… ■
